Advantages and disadvantages of being in WTO in Russia

These changes may affect the educational sphere connected to them, in particularly it will increase the demand in legal and trade education but inevitably it will make this education extremely expensive.Positive sides as well as negative sides are natural at these early stages. However following the international standards further and further brings Russia to a new step in economic history. There not so many disadvantages of being in the WTO and they are certainly not undisputable. Globalizing of the markets creates new conditions for countries’ business relationship and cooperation with each other. Besides optimization of Russian economic structure is a necessity. Gradual modernization processes, improvements of governmental policies and development of national manufacturer under such competitive conditions will clearly strengthen position of the country.It is difficult to predict the consequences of Russia’s membership in the WTO but studying the present situation is crucial for future strategies and smooth development with reaching the economic heights in the end.ConclusionDespite the fact that the results of Russia’s WTO membership can be seen in five-seven years in thelong term forecast WTO membership will bring a lot of benefits to Russia. It will create decline of tariffs and change quotas, develop young industries into strong competitors, bring modernization and high-tech equipment to local manufacturers as well as foreign investments and attraction of the foreign capital to the financial sphere of the country. It is obvious that Russia’s purpose of accession to the WTO membership was not only the prestigious economic position but also the growth of national export and general economic power. Membership in the WTO allows other beneficial unionsfor Russia.The possibility to influence the regulation standards of the WTO will help to eliminate any discrimination towards Russia, will suppress local corruption tendencies and that will significantly benefit the residents and business climate. Though it is important to remember that becoming the 156th member of the WTO Russia gave its right to control the trade and economic sector to the WTO which now has more power than Russian legislation.
