Ron Clark tells a reader a story about a woman who was really devoted to her profession of a teacher but she left her place because she could not deal with children’s parents. Ron Clark cites her words: ‘They are killing us’. But what is the problem between adults? From the article we get to know that today, new teachers decide to remain teaching at schools an average of just 4.5 years, and many of them who decide to leave the place write in the list "issues with parents" as one of their reasons. The author gives tips how parents can receive teacher’s job. First of all, Ron Clark recommends to understand that teachers are not nannies. Parents forget the fact that teachers are professionals and educators who work with kids every day and often see a child in a different light than parents do. Another important thing he advises is to be a partner instead of a prosecutor for a child.  Ron Clark gives an example from his experience when he saw a pupil cheating on a test, and then parents called a lawyer because they thought that a teacher had called their son a liar and a criminal. As the author himself says that it may sound crazy but principals all across the country are telling him that more and more lawyers are accompanying parents for school meetings dealing with their children.The author comes to a conclusion that teachers’ hands are completely tied. In conclusion of the article he says the following: We know you love your children. We love them, too. We understand that your love for them is great. But we want just to ask you -- and beg of you -- to trust us, support us and work with the system, not against it. We need you to have our backs, and we need you to give us the respect we deserve. Lift us up and make us feel appreciated, and we will work even harder to give your child the best education possible.My opinion is that parents sometimes underestimate teacher’s work and do not understand that these people really teach their children and it can be tough sometimes. I agree with the author and support his point of view.
