Demography problems in China

According to the author of this work, very soon China will cease to be the most populous country in the world. It will be India, the most populated democracy on the planet. The Indian economy is booming. She is the third in Asia, although she is still far from Japan and especially to China. As of July 1, 2018, approximately 1.365 billion people live in India. That is, the lag behind China is very insignificant and taking into account the birth rate - according to data as of September 1 of this year, 19 million people have already been born in India - easily overcome.
In addition to the title of the first country in the world in terms of population, which India, according to the estimates of demographers from the UN, will acquire in 2027, Delhi will receive, or rather, have already received the same demographic problems as China. For example, in India, where for centuries they also prefer to have sons, gender imbalance is even more pronounced: 704.7 million men and 660 million women.
The situation is aggravated by the obvious and sufficiently large lag of India from China in terms of development and size of the economy and, of course, standard of living. It would seem that Delhi should have long followed the example of Beijing and introduced birth control, but the authorities are not ready to take draconian measures, since India is a democratic country.
Thus, China is now facing one of the most terrible problems in recent decades, given that its solution in the long term is not expected.
